Until further notice we have closed our building to all normal public access. However, we will continue to provide critical services. We are screening everyone for COVID-19 symptoms before they enter the building, and will require everyone to wear a mask in accordance with MDHHS guidelines. An estimated 23.5 million people in the United States require treatment each year for overuse of drugs or alcohol. At InterAct we know there are treatments that work for these problems and recovery is possible. InterAct of Michigan is dedicated to collaborative delivery of evidence-supported mental health and substance abuse treatments that foster hope and wellness. We have learned there are many paths to recovery and we strive to offer a range of services that can be utilized individually or linked together to partner with people to achieve their personal goals for the future. InterAct was incorporated as a private, non-profit agency in 1991 and operates under the direction of a Board of Directors made up of community leaders. We contract with Kalamazoo Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (KCMHSAS), Southwest Michigan Behavioral Health (SWMBH), network 180, and work with other insurance sources to serve over 2,000 individuals annually. InterAct has made a commitment to evidence-supported treatments, which means we utilize the best research to identify cost-effective services that maximize outcomes and recovery for individuals served. We have an excellent team of multi-disciplinary staff dedicated to helping people build lives of recovery in the community.
